MTR Network Test
MTR combines repeated ping measurements with traceroute-style path discovery. Use it to find the hop where latency or packet loss begins and compare how different regions reach the same destination.
What MTR adds over a simple ping
MTR repeats traceroute-style hops and measures latency and loss at each hop. That shows where delay starts instead of only the time to the final host.
Reading hop results
Loss on a middle hop can be ICMP rate-limiting rather than a real drop. Look for loss that continues to the destination, a sudden latency jump, or a hop that differs by source region.
