Free IP Address Lookup
An IP lookup turns a public IPv4 or IPv6 address into useful network context. Enter an address to check its approximate country, region and city, identify the ISP or organization, and inspect its Autonomous System Number (ASN). Results are estimates and never reveal a precise home or street address.
What an IP lookup can tell you
Public IP records can identify the network that announces an address and estimate where that network is used. The result may include country, region, city, timezone, ISP, organization, hostname and ASN. Location is approximate because IP addresses identify network connections, not GPS coordinates or people.
Private, loopback, reserved and documentation addresses are not publicly routed, so they cannot produce a normal geolocation result. The tool accepts both IPv4 and IPv6 and clearly reports when an address is invalid or has no upstream data.
Use IP data responsibly
IP intelligence is useful for troubleshooting, VPN verification, abuse triage and understanding network ownership. It should not be treated as proof of a person's identity or exact physical location. Compare the result with other evidence before making security or access decisions.
